Chess for Android consists of a chess engine and a GUI. The application accepts moves through the screen, trackball, or keyboard (e2e4 pushes the king pawn, e1g1 castles king side, etc.). An optional "move coach" highlights move move. Full game navigation. Downloads and downloads from the clipboard. A rule of thumb, or threefold repetition is recognized. The optional “motion trainer” highlights the user's actual movements during input and the last movement of the engine. Full navigation in the game allows users to correct mistakes or analyze games. Games are imported and exported as FEN / PGN to and from the clipboard, either through shared access, downloaded and saved as files, or configured using the position editor. A draw on a stalemate, insufficient material, the rule of fifty moves or triple repetition is recognized.
