Application "SMS Backup & Restore"

SMS Backup & Restore is a simple Android application that supports and restores your phone's text messaging and call logs.

Note: This application can only restore logs and messages that were copied to it before they were deleted by a call. Extended messaging is not supported.

Notes:
- Tested on Android 5.0 and above
- App only restores backups made by this application
- Please run the application at least once after the update, so that the planned backup operations begin to work.
- Backup is created locally on your phone by default, but you have the option to upload to Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive or via email. You are responsible for backing up files. At no time are the files sent to the developer.
- If you intend to do a factory default reset by phone, please ensure that you save / email a copy of the backup outside the phone before doing so.
- If recovery is in progress and messages are not displayed in messaging applications, then:
- Open the messaging application and Disable SMS from settings.
- Exit application
- Open the application again and enable SMS from setting.
 
 
This app requires access to the following features:
* Your messages: Backup and restore messages. Obtaining SMS permissions required to properly process messages received while the application is a default messaging application.
* Your calls and contact information: Backup and restore call logs.
* Storage: To create a backup file on the SD card.
* Network and communication view: Allows the app to connect to Wi-Fi for backup.
* Your social information: To display and save contact names in a backup file.
* Run at startup: Run at scheduled backups.
* Deactivate sleep mode: In order to prevent the phone from falling asleep / weighted state while backing up or restoring in progress.
* Check access to secure storage: To create a backup file on the SD card.
* Account Information: To authenticate with Google Drive and Gmail for cloud download
