MEGA provides user controlled storage of encrypted cloud and communication through standard web browsers, along with dedicated applications for mobile devices. Unlike other cloud storage providers, your data is encrypted and decrypted only and not by our client devices.

Download files from your smartphone or tablet, then search, shop, download, stream, view, share, rename or delete files anytime, from any device, anywhere. Share folders with your contacts and see their updates in real time. The encryption process means that we cannot access or recover the password, so you must remember (if you have your backup key recovery), or you will lose access to the stored files.

The end-to-end user is encrypted with MEGA video chat allowing full privacy, and was accessible through the browser, since 2016 was extended to our mobile apps, with chat history available on multiple devices. Users can also easily add files to the chat from their MEGA cloud drive.

MEGA offers a generous 50 GB free storage for all registered users with bonus achievements, and offers paid plans with much higher limits:

Subscription to PRO LITE: € 4.99 per month or € 49.99 per year gives 200 GB of disk space and 1 TB transfer quotas per month.
Subscribing to PRO I: 9,99 € per month or 99,99 € per year gives you 1 TB of disk space and 2 TB of transfer quotas per month.
PRO II subscriptions: 19.99 € per month or 199.99 € per year gives you 4 TB of disk space and 8 TB of transfer quotas per month.
PRO III subscriptions: 29.99 € per month or 299.99 € per year gives you 8 TB of disk space and 16 TB of transfer quotas per month.

Subscriptions are automatically updated for consecutive subscription periods of the same duration and at the same price as the initial period selected. To manage subscriptions, simply click on the Play Store icon on your phone, log in with your Google ID (if you have not already done so), and then click on the MEGA app. You can manage your subscription there.

App Permissions:
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE -> Download files from MEGA to the device and download files from your device to MEGA
CAMERA -> Take pictures and upload photos to MEGA
READ_CONTACTS -> Easily add contacts from your device as MEGA contacts
RECORD_AUDIO & CAPTURE_VIDEO_OUTPUT (microphone and camera) -> MEGA provides end to end encrypted audio / video calls
